Mangalore: Talking to local press persons at DKCC office in Hampankatta today afternoon, former MLA and general secretary Vijay Kumar Shetty, let out on attack on DK (incharge) Minister Krishna Palemar saying that criminal were active in the district and Policemen were mere spectators in a seemingly cool atmosphere. The Minister for Ports and Fisheries was constructing palaces / complexes over the tombs of poor people whom he has looted, Shetty exclaimed in euphemism.

When an industrial representative from Bangalore came to present his tender at MSEZ office for Rs.125 crores worth projects, he was kidnapped the other day, which I have explained earlier, he began with. The police did not even conduct a simple or single enquiry in to this episode Shetty blamed Palemar wants wealth at any cost these days.

V.K Shetty informed press reporters today that he had gone to all levels in Police establishment in Mangalore and Bangalore to probe into this singular BJP criminal activity, but failed to get any response, he stated. It was a dangerous development that the ruling party had the entire Police force in a fist, Shetty pointed out.

The DK incharge Minister Palemar’s dreadful activities are coming out in to the open one by one in his second innings as a cabinet member.
He expects contracts to be given to those companies which are controlled by him, Shetty said. He threw rules to the winds in doing so, Shetty accused Palemar, who even put a label of “MSEZ opponent” on Shetty’s chest.
Palemar got a contract from BASF near Suratkal by ignoring law and polluted the ecology portfolio held by him. He is involved in making money in Bangalore around Yelahanka, Vijaya Kumar Shetty alleged.
Several Congress leaders like  Ibrahim Kodijal, District Congress Commissioner and Vice President, Ashraf,  ex-Mayor, Shashidhar Hegde, ex-Mayor, D.K Ashok Kumar, Harinath, Prithvi Raj, Nagendra, Guljar Banu, T.K Sudhir, Praveen Alva, were present during the press revelations.
