Mangaluru: Former Union Minister, Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary demanded a CBI enquiry into the brutal murder of senior Kannada journalist, aggressive thinker, Gauri Lankesh.
Speaking in a press conference held at Press club on Wednesday former minister stressed the need for an impartial investigation by a central investigation agency to nab the culprits immediately.
He expressed his grief over the death of a writer who fought for the rights of the backward sections of the society. Former minister also showed his displeasure as state government was capable to provide police security to the writer to protect her from danger. Poojary supported the demand of Indrajit Lankesh, younger brother of the deceased who urged the state government to handover the murder case to CBI.
