Kundapur : The body of Vadudeva Adiga, Congress leader and RTI activist was found in a decomposed state near Emmedoddi in Kadur taluk of Chikmagalur district on January 12, Saturday. Adiga was earlier reported missing while on way to his home at Vandaru on January 7 night.
It was found that the killers had tied stones weighing over 30 kg to Adiga’s body before dumping it in the lake. The body was identified as that of Adiga based on a receipt of DTH recharge in the trouser pockets. The body bore injury marks in the head and there is a suspicion that he was strangled with a wire.
Adiga was the former director of Kokkarne CA Bank and Vandaru Milk Producers Union. He had contested the Billadi GP elections, but was defeated
