Mangaluru: Congress leader, NSUI member Mohammed Badruddin (58) died in Bengaluru after he collapsed on a sofa due to low blood sugar on Tuesday August 25.
Badruddin was at Bengaluru to meet his friend, former MLC Saleem Mohammed on Monday night. On Tuesday morning he met MLC Saleem Mohammed, while he was sitting on the sofa he collapsed. He was rushed to a hospital in Basavanagar, but breathed his last.
He was a member of Congress party for more than 40 years, and he was an active member of NSUI. As the secretary of KPCC, Badruddin was also the chairman of Mangaluru Al Wafa Charitable trust.
Senior Congress leaders like Janardhan Poojary, Ramanath Rai, UT Kadher, Abhaychandra Jain, J R Lobo, Mohiuddin Bawa, Shakuntala shetty, Vijay Kumar Shetty, Vasanth Bangera and others expressed condolences.
Badruddin’s body will reach Mangaluru by August 25 night.
