Mangalore: Speaking at a public protest meeting, held at Mulky, 30kms away, under the local MLA Abhayachasndra Jain on Aug 9, AICC secretary and former MP, Vinaya Kumar Sorake criticised ex-CM B.S. Yeddyurappa as the most corrupt BJP minister in the country, and that he would go to prison soon like his colleagues (Katta) on one charge or the other.
Sorake justified the Congress rule as one that had worked hard for the common man before BJP stepped in, and the Kannadigas are now repenting for their sins of electing BJP, to rule them since 2008.
Mulky TO chairman Shashikanth Shetty in a speech told that a BJP member in ZP had taken some photos of pot-holes in Mulky roads to put the photos in newspapers, but he ignored the condition of Govt. Hospital road in town. If this is what takes place in BJP rule, the leaders would loot money, to even repair damaged roads, he exclaimed.
The rally led by Jain, started from Karnad Gandhi Maidan and went to Mulky, to present a petition to the Deputy Tahsildar, Ms.Bharthi.
Ms.Shalet Pinto, B.M Asif, Dhananjaya Kotian, and Many other local Congressmen were present in the Congress walk towards common people.
