Mangalore : The Dakshina Kannada District Congress Minority Cell organized protest in front of deputy commissioner’s office on December 21, Friday demanding CBI probe into Panjimogaru double murder case, Lawyer Preetham missing case and Shivaraj Kodijere murder case.
Addressing the protestors, Moideen Bawa, the district president of the Congress Minority Cell said that in spite of various parties and organisation staged protest demanding the state government to hand over these cases to CBI, nothing has been developed.
He said that these cases took place when Krishna J Palemar was the district in charge minister. But still when he is remained as the MLA, he has not shown any interest to investigate the case, hence he must resign from the MLA post, he said.
Speaking on the Panjimogaru double murder case, Kallige Tharnath Shetty said that unknown miscreants had knifed Razia, 35, wife of Hameed, a scrap dealer, and his daughter Zuha, 8, at their residence near Kulur- Kavoor road under Kavoor police station limits on June 28, 2011. But the police department has failed to arrest the murders and the state government has failed to hand over the case to CBI.
He also said that the Congress Minority Cell will submit a memorandum to the Governor through DC, appealing to raise hands and handover these three case to CBI and provide justice to their family.
KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza, Shashidhar Hegde, MLA Vijaykumar Shetty, Former MLA Ashraf, Kripa Alva and others were present.
