Mangalore : Parliament election observers of Congress R V Venkatesh, S G Nanjayanamutt and KMS Pandyan visited District Congress Office here on August 28, Wednesday to collect the opinion and suggestion for upcoming elections of congress party workers and leaders in Dakshina Kannada district.
Speaking on the occasion, RV Venkatesh said that the mood of people in state was in favour of congress party. After the people suffered during the BJP rule, the congress has committed to provide transparent administration. The victory of congress in the Lok Sabha bye elections in Mandya and Bangalore Rural constituencies has build up the confidence for the party.
District in-charge minister and State Minister for Forest and Ecology B Ramanath Rai said that the developmental works made by the Congress government has resulted in the victory in all other elections. The suggestions and feedback collected by the Committee will help in having an eligible candidate for the upcoming election.
Congress leaders Ivan D’Souza, Ibrahim Kodijal, Suresh Ballal, Vijaykumar Shetty, Shashidhar Hegde, Kripa Alva and Jacintha Alfred were present.
