Mangalore, June 7: MG Hegde, state secretary of JDS said that the congress party leaders become aware after the announcement of every election and get ready for meal without preparing the food.

He was speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on June 7, Thursday. He said that the congress has given the statement that it has only competition with BJP na d the JDS is not considered and this is wrong. The congress leaders must recall the number of times the candidates lost in Vidhan Parishath election in past 30 years and also know the number of enrollment of graduates done by the party in the past 30 years.

He also said that in last four years, JDS has emerged victory in 8 constituency in the by poll, while congress has only gained one victory in one constituency. The Congress became the newspaper tigers a week before the graduates and teacher’s constituency election by giving the false statement is shameful.

The Congress has not enrolled the voters and not selected an eligible candidate to contest in the election and indirectly helped BJP for the victory, he said.

He also said that JDS has enrolled more 56,000 graduates and more than 15,000 teachers in the voters list making over 40 percent enrollment of voter under the leadership of JDS leaders.

He also said that the JDS has announced its candidates JD(S) candidate for Udupi-Chikmagalur LS bypoll, Boje Gowda and C. M. Panchaksharayya for the South West teachers’ constituency ten months before the electionand doing campaign in a systematic manner. This shows the victory of JDS, he added.
