Mangaluru: The district Congress Party staged a protest condemning the suspension of all the Smart City Works initiated at various places in the City Corporation limits, the protest held in front of the Mangalore City Corporation at Lalbagh on January 12, Tuesday.

Senior party leader and former minister B Ramanatha Rai said, from perseverance of Congress the Smart City project to come Mangalore But the BJP has failed to adequately implement the administration plan.

MLC and District Congress President Harish Kumar, Opposition leader Abdul Ravoof, District Youth Congress Chief Mithun Rai, former MLA J R Lobo, former MUDA Chief Suresh Ballal, District Mahila Congress President Shalet Pinto, former mayors Harinath, Jacintha Alfred, Corporators Shashidhar Hegde, Naveen D’Souza and others were present.
