Mangalore :  District Congress President B Ramanatha Rai has said that a district level party workers meet would be held at Urva Church Hall on September 9  and that Union Minister of State for Railways KH Muniappa will be attending the meeting. Muniappa has been appointed election observer of the party for Mysore division.

Speaking to reporters, Rai said the party was gearing itself and was evolving strategies to face the next assembly election.

Rai said the meeting would be attended  among other leaders by  Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes. To a question, Rai said even senior leader B Janardhan Poojari was one among the invitees.

Congress leaders Ivan D’Souza, Shashidhar Hegde, Mithun Rai, Praveenchandra Alva  and others were present at the press meet.
