Mangalore: Bantwal MLA and DKDCC president Ramanath Rai speaking at the press meet held at District Congress Office on May 11, Friday said that the congress candidates South West teachers and graduates teachers constituency of the legislative council scheduled on June 10, will gain victory in the polls.
He also said that the chances of Congress victory are high. Around 75% of the fund allotted to the education by the state came from the Union government.
Commenting that the internal crisis in state BJP had reached its peak, he denied that there was any crisis within Congress in the state.
He also said that SP Dinesh from Shimoga in the graduates teachers constituency and Hosur Ramesh Joyappa from Madikeri in the South West teacher’s constituency will gain victory. Because the central governemtn gives importance to the education and also introduced 25% reservation seat for school for the weaker section of the society, he said.
AICC secretary Vinay Kumar Sorake, MLA Abhayachandra Jain, former MLA Vijayakumar Shetty, KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza, Mayor Gulzar Banu, Mamatha Gatty, Suresh Ballal, Former Maypr Ashraf, Mithun Rai, TK Sudhir, Shashidhar Hegde, and others were present at the press meet.
