Ullal: Congress party has retained its two seats in the by-elections held for 24th Chembugudde and 26th Kallapu wards of Ullal City Municipal Council.

Congress party candidate Basil D’ Souza won 24th ward by-election defeating his opponent BJP candidate Sathish Chembugudded by 451 votes whereas Usman Kallapu defeated independent candidate Dinakara Ullal by 270 votes to win 26th Kallapu ward.

Chembugudde Ward total votes Casted: 884 . Congress: 600 votes , BJP: 149, CPI (M): 78, Khalander (Independent Candidate): 57

Kallapu Ward  total Votes Casted: 1005, Congress: 510, Dinakara Ullal: 240, BJP: 226, JDS: 29
