Udupi : A Congress worker  named Vasudeva Adiga has been reportedly kidnapped by unidentified persons on the  night of January 7, Monday near Goliangady. Reports say he was kidnapped by some Scorpio bound assailants while he was on way to his house at Vandar from Kota.

It is reported that the Black Scorpio Car intercepted his bike near Goliangady. Ragh Shettigar a friend of Vasu Devadiga was with him till 6.45 pm.

A land dispute which Devadiga had with Ramesh Bayari, Shanker and Krishnamurthi is suspected to be the reason for kidnapping. Bayar’s driver Babu has been taken into custody.

Shankernarayana police are investigating.
