Puttur: “47 Hindu youths have been converted to Islam religion under the leadership of a Congress leader,” alleged Bhajaranga Dal Convener Muralikrishna Hasanthadka.

Addressing the press personnel at Puttur Press Club on Tuesday, he said that there are proofs to prove the involvement of Congress leader in the matter.

“Some are plotting huge plan to convert Hindu youths to Islam and they are being used for the destructive purposes. Though, 47 youths have converted to Islam, we have successfully turned the mind of three youths and have brought them back to Hindu religion,” he said.

Later, Arun Kumar Puthila said that number of people gathered for the protest against the conversion shows the concern of the society towards their religion.
“Congress is trying to oppress Hindu’s till it will continue in power,” he added.

Puttur HJV Ajith Rai Hosamane, businessman Krishna Narayana Muliya and others were present.
