Mangalore: The BJP economist Dr Subrahmanian Swamy faced angry congressmen, both young and old who surrounded his night-holt room in Circuit House and shouted slogans against him, demanding an apology for berating AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi, at the end of his lecture in Bunts hostel on Tuesday.

Swamy had called Rahul Gandhi. as an idiot and drug-addict and novice in national politics. There was a clash between youth congress workers and BJP activists at Swamy’s room, and city police from Kadri rushed to the spot and made a mild lathi-charge to disperse the angry mobs, while registering a case against the BJP economist Subrahmanian Swamy for his derogatory remarks in his lecture at A.B Shetty hall earlier against Rahul Gandhi.
