Mangaluru: A Panambur police station constable has been suspended from the duty as he allegedly harassed a woman sexually in Kasba Bengre. The order was passed by the police commissioner Chandra Shekhar.

Vinay Kumar is the constable who was suspended.

Few days ago constable Rashid had come to woman’s house for the inquiry of a case. He had taken the mobile number of the lady. VInay Kumar somehow collected the number from Rashid and started calling her frequently asking her to have sex with him.

That lady informed the matter to local DYFI leaders, who recorded the call of Vinay Kumar and presented it in front of police commissioner with the help of district DYFI leaders. Commissioner registered a FIR in women’s police station and suspended Vinay Kumar from the duty.
