Kundapur : A 48-year-old man from Kundapur taluk in Udupi district, passed away in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The deceased has been identified as Alwyn D’Souza (48) son of Peter D’Souza, a native of Chikansal in Kundapur. Alwyn was working in Joannou & Paraskevaides, one of the largest construction companies in Middle East for past two-and-a-half decade at Riyadh, died while on duty.

Alwyn spent his vacation along with his family members in his hometown and rejoined duty this October 2.

It is learnt that Alwyn, had fell on concrete racks and sustained severe injuries while on duty. Although he was rushed to a hospital, he breathed his last.

He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

According to sources, NRI organizations in Riyadh are helping his family members for the finalization of paper works and bring his mortal remains to India.
