Mangalore : State Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader said that he was unhappy over the snail pace of construction works of the ONGC-MRPL sponsored new super specialty block of the Lady Goschen Hospital.
Speaking at a meeting held at the hospital premises on October 15, Wednesday, he said that the contractors failing to complete the project on schedule would be blacklisted since the work is causing inconvenience to the people and they stand Government responsible for the delay in construction.
District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai urged the stakeholders to complete the project on time.
The contractors said that they had suspended the work last month since contractor had issued a bill for Rs 8.4 crore out of which only Rs 6.09 crore was paid.
MRPL General Manager Sushilchandra, assured to release the pending amount will as soon as possible.
State Minister for Fisheries and Youth Services Abhayachandra Jain, DC AB Ibrahim and others were present.
