Mangalore : A clash between two groups at the Kashi Mutt at Carstreet in Mangalore late night on December 31, culminated in the death of a cook of the Mutt. The deceased is Mahesh Prabhu (33).

Sources said he was stabbed to death by one Nanda Kumar who also worked in the Mutt. Nandakumar hailed from Kerala and has been arrested. It is learnt, there was dispute between the two groups since some times and the same reached a flash point on the night of December 31.

Mangalore North police have registered a case.
