Mangalore : Police have seized nearly 24 LPG cylinders in a raid on an illegal gas refilling unit at Ullal on February 4, Monday. The unit was operating in a small shed in the courtyards of the house of one Nawaz at Kotepura Kodi.

However, Nawaz managed to escape during the raid.

Police have also seized a weighing scale from the unit. Of the 24 seized cylinders, ten were domestic cylinders while nine were commercial cylinders.

Police have transferred the seized goods to the authorities of the Food and Civil Supplies Department.
