Mangalore :  The Cordel Parish of Kulashekhar arranged a Centenary year Football Cup-2011 tournament by youths in ICY Movement, at the Holy Cross Church grounds, on Wednesday. This will conclude on Thursday. The Vicar-general of Mangalore Fr. Dennis Prabhu inaugurated the games programme.
Captain Ganesh Karnik, MLC speaking on the occasion, asked everybody to be an instrument of Peace around his area. He congratulated the tournament organizers and wished the players all god speed.
Corporator Bhaskar stated that such events exhibited the talents of youth in many ways, in conducting the events regularly.
Agnel Rodrigues(MD of Agnel’s  Ad-venture)recalled that Cordel parish was international in its contributions, led by a remarkable priest.
The programme chief, Fr. Valerian Pinto, congratulated the teams, the Icy Movement members, and sponsors for their assistance. Several parish leaders were present. Ashwin made the invocation before the start of Football tournament. ICYM chief Francis welcomed. Prescilla Sequeira Compered the event.
