Mangalore: The 107th Foundation Day celebration of local Corporation Bank, commenced on Monday with the release of an application for SMART phones and Android tablets for health and communication.

Ajai Kumar, CMD of the city based nationalised bank, informed on the occasion that the bank would launch applications for I-pads and I-phones. The costumers could download the application from Apple I-Tunes store and Android market place soon enough.

Corporation Bank is the first public sector bank to make these arrangements, he pointed out. The applications would keep customers informed about the Bank’s new products.

Those who are interested may keep in touch with the bank to locate closest ATMs and branches.

The CMD released the bank’s caller tune on the occasion. Tributes were paid to the founder of the Bank from Udupi.

Lifetime achievements awards conferred on Dr. Kadri Gopalnath, Saxo-musician, B.R. Shetty, Dr. B. M. Hegde and Dr. Ramam Rao.

The Corp Bank provided services on Smart phones and extend transactional service (in business) through I-pads, tablets and smart phones in future.
