Mangaluru : Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Monday launched Corporation Bank’s Visa International Signature and Visa Platinum credit cards at the bank headquarters here.
Speaking after launching the cards, Mr. Prabhu lauded the bank for its efficiency and customer-friendly approach, a release from the bank said. He commended the bank for the initiative taken in digitalising payments, saying it would contribute towards making a “less-cash society”.
The bank’s managing director and CEO Jai Kumar Garg, executive director Sunil Mehta and others were present.
The Visa International Signature and Visa Platinum cards have EMV chip card and OTP, which provide greater security during transactions.
Persons having an annual income of Rs. 2.5 lakh (Rs. 3 lakh if self-employed) are eligible for the Platinum card, while those with an annual income of Rs. 10.5 lakh and above are eligible for the Signature card. The cards offer a minimum credit limit of Rs. 10,000 and a maximum limit of Rs. 10 lakh.
