Belthangady :  The Life Time Achievement Award instituted by Corporation Bank was conferred on Dr D Veerendra  Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala at a function held at Pravachana Mantap of Dharmasthala on March 9, Saturday. Ajay Kumar, Chairman of the Bank honoured Dr Heggade with the award. This is the first such award conferred b the Corporation Bank.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Heggade said he enjoyed great relations with the Bank. He said Self Help Groups have been providing  loans to the tune of Rs 200 crores in Belgaum and Tumkur through Corporation Bank. He said the Dharmasthala  Rural Development Scheme would be extended to five more districts.

At the same time, Dr Heggade said the Award  was not only for him but all the 20,000 people who are working for the Dharmasthala Project.
