Bangalore : Police arrested bruhut Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Corporator Shakeel Ahmed and four of his friends on charge of attacking a Bar owner in the city last night.

Police said Ahmed, along with his friends, had been to a Bar in Church Street late in the night. When the Bar owner told them about the closure they attacked him.

During Preliminary investigation, it was revealed that Ahmed was a rowdy sheeter in Shivajinagar and Pulikeshi Police stations, and was involved in murder and other criminal activities. He was also involved in Hamid murder that took place in 1996.

Salman, who was also among those arrested, was also a rowdy sheeter facing criminal cases.
