Belthangady: Responding to the complaints of public, Anti Corruption Bureau on Thursday morning raided the house of First Division Assistant and confiscated huge amount of valuables including property details at Guruvayanakere.

ACB officers raided FDA Govinda Naik’s house. This action was taken after receiving repeated complaints regarding his corruption by the public.

Officers have succeeded in confiscating records of properties, gold and hard cash Rs 6 lakh in both spiked and new currency. They have also found certificates of fixed deposit in bank. Along with the valuables some of the important office files were also present in the home.

Previously also Govinda Naik was suspended for six months for receiving bribe from the public. It is reported that he was not moving any file without receiving bribe even from poor people.
