Mangaluru: the countdown has begun for the most awaited cultural event of the year Alva’s Nudisiri – 2016. It will be organised from November 18 to 20 at Moodabidiri Vidyagiri campus.
Speaking to the reporters Alva’s educational foundation President Dr M Mohan Alva said that the programme will be organised with the tag line of Karnataka: Nalegala Nirmana (Karnataka: Making of tomorrow). Veteran writer Dr B N Sumitra Bai will be presiding over the convention and poet, writer Dr Jayanth Kaykini will be inaugurating the convention.
“Various séance and cultural events will be held during the celebration of three days Alva’s Nudisiri. 13 people will be conferred with the Alva’s Nudisiri Awards,” he said.
He further said that for students one day programme Vidyarthisiri, state level drawing camp, Alva’s Chitrasiri, Alva’s Chayachitrasiri, Alva’s Krishisiri, Alva’s Rangasiri, Alva’s Yakshasiri and Alva’s Dehadhardyasiri were the specialities of this year.
“More than one lakh Kannada fans from 30 districts are expected to be take participation in the Nidisiri – 2016,” he added.
