Udupi: Udupi’s famous Country Inn Hotel was raided by Excise officials for possessing and selling illegal liquor in the hotel, on Saturday night.

The hotel is owned by former MLA Raghupathi Bhat and Excise officials have registered a case after finding the illegal liquor.

Excise Inspector Jyoti led the officials’ team under the directions of district Excise Superintendant K S Murali and Deputy Excise Superintendant K Vinod Kumar.
