Mangaluru: All personnel have to discharge their duties by exercising utmost caution in all Covid vaccination centres in the district when the vaccination drive will officially commence on January 16 said, Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra KV on January 14.
He was speaking at a video conference from his office here on the preparedness of the COVID-19 vaccination to be held at 6 vaccination centres in the district from January 16.
He added that those receiving the vaccination should be well monitored for any side effects.
“The COVID-19 vaccine will be administered to healthcare workers on the day of the inauguration. Till date no side effects of the vaccine have been detected anywhere,” he said.
“Drinking water, masks, sanitisers, thermal scanners and other essential medical equipment should be available at the vaccination centre. Additionally, physical distancing should be strictly followed,” the DC added.
He further advised that if any vaccinated person experiences any problems then they must immediately undergo appropriate checkups and emergency care.
At the video conference, Additional Deputy Commissioner MJ Roopa, district’s Superintendent of Police Lakshmi Prasad and others were present.
