Mangalore : Mangalore North Police on April 23, Wednesday, arrested have arrested three Bajarang Dal activists for throwing cow dung on Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike (KKSV) district president Suresh Bhat Bakrabail’s face after addressing the press meet against Kabeer’s killing.

The arrested have been identified as Pradeep Kumar (28), a resident of Pumpwell, Tilak Raj (23), from Kankanady, and Chetan Kumar Shetty (23).

It is learnt that, after the incident, the public had caught Chetan Kumar Shetty at Hotel Woodlands on Tuesday and handed over him to police.

Mangalore city Police Commissioner R Hitendra said that the three belonged to Bajrang Dal and targeted Mr Bhat, who opposes the Bajrang Dal and Sangh Parivar. The trio have been remanded in judicial custody for three days.

Prior to the attack, Bhat had accused Bhajarangdal who had attacked the family of Kabeer in Shringeri.
