Mangalore: The BJP Party is trying to bring the cow slaughter Bill in the Vidhan Parishad, said L Hanumanthayya, renowned poet and former MLA, speaking at the conference organized by Communist Party of India against cow slaughter Bill in front of DC Office on June 11, Friday.
As a part of conference, the jatha was held from Rally from Jyothi circle to DC Office.
He also said that, this bill has been passed to save animals including cow and kill people and also humanity. It is believed that people do not have right to feed the people and on the same time they do not have even have right to snatch their food, he added.
Earlier there were 60 to 70 desi cows but now its number has decreased to 30 to 40. The people who are fighting to implement bill are the one who lack the knowledge on the cows and who do not have right to oppose them, he said.
The people who fight to save the cow’s are eating other meat of sheep, goat and other, then do not they have right to live, he asked. He said that Swamy Vivekananda said that, there were no Brahmins found earlier who did not consume cow meat.
A K Subayya, state president, Prevention of Cow Slaughter Ac t said that the BJP party is making injustice to farmers and dalits by bringing cow slaughter bill.
There are large number of farmers and dalits in Karnataka who do not want to impose this law. The Muslims in Karnataka are also against this bill. Apart from BJP party none of the political parties against the cow slaughter. The Congress party, JDS, CPM and SDPI are also rendering their support to go against the bill.
The Bill has been brought just to make the saints and swamiji’s happy.
Veera Sangayya, state secretary of Raitha Sangha, KL Ashok, Karnataka Komusouhardha Vedike, K R Shriyan, state committee member, CPI (M) and others participated as the chief speakers.
