Mangalore: G Nagaraj, State secretary of CPI(M) on behalf of the Communist Party of India(Marxist) demanded resignation from Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa in the wake of accusation of denotification of land belonging to his family members.
Speaking at the press meet held at press club on November 20, Saturday he said that the Chief Minister had no right to stay in power when the enquiry into the land scam is going on.
He also said that Housing Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu, Shobha Karandlaje, Murugesh Nirani, Hemachandra sagar are all directly involved in the land scam and they must be suspended from the posts in the wake of allegations.
Yeddyurappa had said he was ready to order a judicial probe by a retired Supreme Court judge into denotification of lands, allotment of lands and sites in the last ten years if the opposition agreed, he added.
