Mangaluru : Holding placard CPI(M) leaders and members staged a demonstration demanding provision of food to the people during lockdown and free treatment to the Covid-19 patients in the city on July 15, Wednesday.

Speaking to protestors Muneer Katipalla, DYFI State President said,  free treatment should provide for coronavirus without discrimination, and private hospitals must make mandatory free treatment for corona patients, the poor who have already been hit hard due to the previous lockdown, will be in for more trouble during the ensuing lockdown. The district administration must provide food kits to the poor people, he said.

District CPI(M) Secretariat Board Member J Balakrishna Shetty, city unit Secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal, Party leaders Jayanthi B Shetty and others participated in the protest.
