Kasargod : Shops and business establishments are closed and buses are off the roads of Kasargod on September 16, Tuesday as part of a bundh call given in the wake of the killing of a CPI(M) worker at Uduma Mangad on September 16, Monday night.
The killed CPI(M) worker is MB Balakrishna (45). He was a tempo drive by profession. Balakrishna was on his way home in his bike when he was waylaid and attacked. Though he was taken to hospital by locals,he died there. Some incidents of violence were reported after this murder and police have increased security.
Bekal police are investigating the case. The CPI(M) which has strongly condemned the killing has suspected the hands of the Congress and Muslim League behind it.
