Mangalore: A former middle-order state cricketer of eminence, Dayananda Kamath of Mangalore, died today due to a heart attack at his residence: He was 67.
Between 1962 and 1968, Kamath played in 22 first class matches. With his exit, the coastal area has lost 3 Ranji Trophy players. He played along with G.R.Vishwanath. He made 634 runs and took 23 wickets as a left-hander.
He had faced West Indies and English cricket teams on his day.
