Mangalore : The The members of DK District Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike and other like-minded organizations staged protest organizations in front of the DC’s office on Dec 3, Saturday.
Addressing the protestors, K. L. Ashok, the secretary of the Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike said that people are still following superstitious rituals such as Made Snana from many years.
Flaying the district administration and the state government, he said the people who assaulted the backward class leader Shivaram, will easily get bail because of the government’s callousness.
Pattabhirama Somayaji, the convener of the Komu Souharda Vedike district committee, urged the government to realize that there are people who oppose this ritual and support them.
