Bangalore : Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has instructed Deputy Commissioners of all districts to sanction the pending crop compensation amounting to Rs 232 crores to small and very small farmers within the next 15 days. Addressing a meeting of Deputy Commissioners and ZP Chief Executive Officers at the Vidhana Saudha on November 5, Monday, the CM also instructed the officials to prepare an action plan to ensure that the districts did not suffer from water problem in the future. The chief minister said under the Employment Guarantee scheme it has been planned to spend Rs 500 crores during the next six month period.
The CM also informed that funds under the MPs and MLAs Area Development Scheme will be released in phases subject to administrative approval.
