Mangaluru: Unidentified cheaters frauded a man on the social networking site to the tune of Rs. 13,62,800. It is gathered that these persons masqueraded themselves as custom officials and the rightful claimants of a box containing dollar currency that they said had arrived from a foreign country and obtained the loan of whopping Rs 13, 62,800 from him.

A complaint with respect to this incident has been registered in the cyber crimes police station in the city.

The complainant said that Jain Poojary and some others, who got introduced to him in Facebook, had fleeced him. The accused and the complainant had become friends on Facebook since January this year. The cyber police, who received the complaint, are investigating.
