Mangaluru : Customs at Mangalore International Airport (MIA) on Tuesday seized 447.61 grams of gold from two passengers who arrived on board international flights from Dubai valued at Rs 14.09 lakh.

While 395.26 grams of gold in paste form was seized from a passenger who had hidden it in his rectum, the officials seized 52.35 grams of gold hooks that was concealed in a bag that a passenger carried.

The value of gold seized in the two cases is Rs 12.84 lakh and Rs 1.25 lakh, respectively.
