Mangaluru : The officers of Customs at Mangalore International Airport on seized gold in the form of Sixteen Nos.of Ten Tola Gold Bars totally weighing 1865.650 Grams of value Rs.50,55,912/- brought by a passenger who arrived from Dubai on Monday, April 27.

The passenger had brought these gold rods by concealing them underneath the seat in the Aircraft in which he had travelled. The passenger Shri. Mohammed Luqman Ahmed, aged about 29 years, who arrived at Mangalore International Airport on Monday at about 09.30 hrs by Jet Airways Flight No. 9W531 from Dubai, is a resident of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

The passenger has been arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mangalore, for remand. Further investigation is under progress.
