Mangalore : The officers of Customs at Mangalore International Airport seized 204.000 grams of gold, valued at Rs.5,50,800/-, concealed in the form of a measuring tape, buckles of a rexine travel bag, buckles of sandals, handles of hair brush and pen refill which were all kept in a travel bag carried by the passenger arrived from Dubai.

The passenger Sarfras Povval Mohammed Kunhi, aged about 30 years, is a resident of No.17/568 (12/78), Nagarakatte Cross Road, Fort Road, Kasaragod Dt., kerala-671121, who arrived at Mangalore International Airport on 09.10.2014 at about 22.15 hrs by Air India Express flight IX 384 from Dubai. Further investigation is under progress.
