Mangaluru : Cyanide killer, notorious criminal Mohan Kumar (54) has sentenced to life imprisonment by Sessions Judge DP Putturangaswamy in Dakshina Kannada district sixth sessions court in Mangaluru inconnection with the rape and murder case of a 25 year old lady from Pattemajalu of Puttur.

Mohan Kumar has already sentenced to death by lower court inconnection with three criminal cases earlier. However, he filed a petition before the state high court questioning the death penalty pronounced by the lower court and the hearing is in progress in the high court.

The notorious criminal is accused in 16 rape and murder cases and the hearing is still continuing at sixth sessions court in Mangaluru. Mohan Kumar involved in 19 rape and murder cases and the court found him guilty in three cases and hearing of remaining cases is still continuing.
