Bengaluru: More than a year after IAS officer DK Ravi (34) was found dead, the Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a closure report with the Assistant Commissioner stating that it was a “suicide due to personal reasons.”
Ravi was found dead in his apartment on March 16, 2015.
Sources say that the 90-page report was submitted to Assistant Commissioner D B Natesh.
When the state government decided to hand over the case to the CBI, the Opposition had accused the government of trying to protect those behind the 2009-batch IAS officer’s death.
However, the CBI’s probe has concluded that there was no foul play and that it was a clear case of suicide and death was a result of asphyxiation due to hanging. The report further said that the suicide was due to personal reasons.
