Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district reported 12 fresh coronavirus cases including a police officer and 14 new cases in Udupi district reported on Wednesday June 24.
The district health bulletin on wednesday reported, a total 557 people have been screened and 12,251 samples have been sent for tests till date, out of which 11,858 have turned out negative, and 475 positive, including 10 persons from other districts. Out of these, 154 are currently active. As many as 301 persons have recovered and been discharged, and 10 deaths have occurred so far.
On Wednesday as many as 45 patients, 37 males and 8 females including five children were discharged from Wenlock . A 41-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman are serious and being treated in ICU.
As many as 381 samples were sent for testing on Wednesday. Reports of 45 samples were received on Wednesday, out of which 12 tested positive and the rest negative. Reports of 248 samples are awaited.
In Udupi district as many as 14 people including two children tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday. Among the 14 patients, eight are males and six females. Nine are Maharashtra returnees, one has travelled from Bengaluru, three have contracted infection from P-3851, and the source of infection of one more patient is being traced.
