Mangalore : Mangalore Police Commissionerate in association with Dakshina Kannada district police and KSRP observed Police Flag Day at the police grounds here on April 2, Tuesday.

Participating as the chief guest Former DySP Vishwanath Pandith released the Police Day flags. The money collected from the sale to members and general people will be used for welfare of police officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Pandith also said that police personnel’s must have sound body and sound mind to execute their duties efficiently.

Later, retired police personnel in the year 2012-13 were felicitated on the occasion.

IGP Western Range Pratap Reddy congratulated eight Western Range police officials for receiving Chief Minister’s Medal.

Mangalore Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar welcomed the gathering. Ramdas Gowda, Commandant KSRP proposed vote of thanks.
