Mangalore: A sentence of life imprisonment till he dies, was passed against the cold-blooded murderer Dinesh Gowda, by the second additional sessions Judge in Mangalore court on Tuesday, April 3.

The hearing on the brutal case was completed on March31, Saturday, while Judge G.D Narasimha Murty put the verdict on an accelerator on April 3, Tuesday, to punish the culprit summarily.

Dinesh Gowda (39) who sexually assaulted had murdered a Dalit woman Sarojini(28) on October 3, 2010.The unfortunate woman’s dead body in a semi-nude state was fund near an unused pump shed at or door, having been killed by crushing her head with a stone.

Valentine D’ Souza, Panambur circle Inspector, took up the investigation, and solved the case in 4 days only.

The killer was an employee of a rubber estate, where the victim also worked. She had resisted his sexual overtures, before death. The police caught him soon after, although he had fled. He is jailed since Oct 2010 for life.
