Mangalore :  A Seminar on  “Coastal Dalits towards Becoming Successful Industrialists and Entrepreneurs” was organized by Ambedkar Memorial Foundation in Mangalore  on  May 13, Sunday.

Speaking as a resource person, SG Hegde, Joint Director of District Industries Centre, Mangalore,called upon Dalit youth  to make best use of the various government schemes available for them. He also informed that the government offers 35 percent subsidy under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), for starting an industry. Subsidies are also offered for setting up micro industries and taking up rain water harvesting projects, he informed.

Bhavani, Vie President of Ullal TMC, Mohanangayya Swami, President SC/ST Research and Development Trust, Mangalore and Raghunath Ullal, Health Officer, were present on the occasion.
