Mandya : Actors Darshan and Ambareesh’s wife Sumalatha were on a brisk campaign, seeking votes for Congress candidate in Mandya Assembly constituency Ambareesh, on Tuesday.

Darshan, after offering obeisance at Kalikamba temple here, sought votes for Ambareesh on Bazar Street, Shankar Mutt road, Kallahalli, V V Nagar and other areas.

While youths mobbed Darshan and Sumalatha, who were on an open jeep waving at the crowd, to shake hands with their favourite stars, some were happy watching them from a distance.

Speaking to media persons, Darshan said he was not canvassing for any party, but for Ambareesh as a person.

He said he will tour the city on Wednesday also and would make frequent visits till the polls are over, in order to ensure victory for Ambareesh.-DH News
