Bangalore : Darshan and his wife gave a clean chit to Nikita who was earlier named in the complaint filed by the latter.
The Producers` Association had banned actress Nikita for three years and had allegedly held the actress responsible for the marital discord between them.
“We have nothing to do with the decision taken by Kannada Producers` Association”, the couple declared in a press meet organised on Sunday afternoon. Ms. Vijayalakshmi went a step further by reiterating that she had not complained against Nikita to any one from the KFPA.
Darshan was released on Friday from Parappana Agrahaara Jail after the Karnataka HC granted him the bail. The same night he met thousands of his fans who had assembled in front of his residence. On Saturday he went to his native place, Mysore along with all his family members to have a darshan of Goddess Chamundeshwari and seek her blessings.
On Sunday he addressed a press meet along with his wife and his brother Dinakar, the director of Sarathy which is turning out to be a block buster hit. Darshan apologised to all his fans for all the things that he did.
On Sunday afternoon he addressed his first press meet along with his wife Vijayalakshmi. Darshan was apologetic about his behaviour and assured the people of Karnataka that he will ensure such things do not occur in future.
“I am appealing to all of you through this press conference to pardon me for whatever has happened last one month. I hurt you, but you showed me love and affection and I am really overwhelmed by your large heartedness.
“I will assure you that I will look after my wife well and would ensure that such things do not occur again”, said Darshan.
While Darshan appeared nervous throughout the meet, Vijayalakshmi appeared more confident and assertive.
“Both of us have introspected over what had happened all these days. Yes, we were wrong, but I think one positive aspect of the whole thing is that our relationship and bond have been strengthened. We will start a new chapter in our life. I will ensure that such things will never occur in my life in future”, said Vijayalakshmi.
Vijayalakshmi was not averse to answering inconvenient questions. When she was asked why she had complained to police about her husband`s high handedness in the first place, she said that it was because she was angry at that time and did not know of the consequences.
