Mysore: If doll show is part of Mysore Dasara festivities, it seemed the dolls of Mysore descended down to Mangalore looking at the Dasara Doll Show organized by Nammavarau Sangha of Mangalore at Sri Raghavendra Swami Mutt near Carstreet. Raghavendra Shasthri of Sharavu Mahaganapathi temple and MR Vasudev, Mangalore International Airport director, inaugurated the exhibition.
Nammavaru is an organization of Brahmins who have migrated to the city from other parts of the state.
Dolls are usually displayed in houses during Dasara in Mysore, Bangalore, Chikmagalur, Kolar and other places which were once under the Mysore rules.
The doll show in Mangalore features around 800 dolls. The dolls on display include that of Dashavathara, Krishna Leela, Narasimha, etc.
The exhibition will be open till October 24.
